Number One Way For Direct Sales Professionals To Earn Referrals

The number one way to earn referrals is actually quite simple; do what you say you are going to do. I am constantly surprised by the number of professionals in business (not even just direct sales) that don’t uphold their promises.
Unfortunately this is especially true in direct sales, because there are many consultants that run their business as a hobby (which is certainly okay) but don’t take it very seriously. Or they get in over their heads and don’t follow up with customers. This happens all of the time and isn’t always because the person is a deadbeat, a lot of time it has to do with being overwhelmed and quite honestly forgetting.
If you can make a commitment however to always fulfill your promises and to do what you say you’re going to do whether it be to call someone that you said you’d follow up with, or mailing out a hostess packet on time, it could make all of the difference in the world. When you are showing that you are a direct sales professional that means business and will honor your promises you’ll become known as dependable. People want to work with dependable businesses.
Believe it or not people will be surprised at how on the ball you are and they will refer their friends to you. Just think about all of the times you’ve heard about other consultants (whether they be from your company or not) who have dropped the ball. Usually they follow up the comment with, how they are going to tell their friends about you because you rock!
Don’t become another direct sales horror story. Step up to the plate and deliver! Your effort will come back to you a hundred fold.
